I have problems with the water pump on my 13 Tundra 5.7.
All three water pumps have been replaced the last month and start leaking by the small hole after few days of use. I choose to get different brands, same problem.
Any idea where I should be checking or looking for?

That's odd. What brands have you tried? Your best bet is toyota oem / aisin. Gates, ac Delco or dayco are usually good aftermarket options.

AISIN is your best bet. It's usually 12-18$ more than Gates or Dayco but worth it.
Instll instructions state some may weep a little at first install but seal up after a day or 2.

I would probably replace the cap too. Wonder if the system pressure is getting a little too high. Just a thought.

Yes! I did that before the last pump change… Thanks!

Mine exploded both times at 25k and 220k.
The question might be in the sealing. What are you using to seal??? Are you using the metal gasket provided? Or are you using the gasket maker? Or are you using both?
I replaced my 1st water pump last year or 2 years ago, terrified lol, but was pretty straight forward and have no issues currently. I used Aisin off of Rockauto.

Are any of these brands OEM/Aisin? If so, did you order them off of Amazon?

    Something I learned a long time ago..OEM.

I was reminded about that on my Lexus about 5 years ago. I was in a pinch and went aftermarket. First one didn't even fit. It was close but the holes wouldn't line up properly. Gaskets sucked.

Second one looked right. They said the paper gasket would 100% work. Leaked.

Finally ordered one directly from Lexus and didn't have an issue for 78k miles (when I sold the car at 178k miles).
