I have a 2017 Toyota sequoia limited. The front A/C works just fine and blows cold air, however on last weekends trip to Valdez the rear A/C stoped blowing. I have full control with the rear control panel but changing between hot and cold and the three different fan settings does nothing. The unit will correctly display the set temperature and my selected fan setting but no airflow comes out of the vents. I have ensured that the rear climate control is on and that the vents are open. I have also checked all the fuses and they are good to go.
I think it might be a rear blower issue but I can only find a video about a ~2006 LX470 with the same issue.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

After a bunch of searching I found a service manual for a 2008 Toyota sequoia. I used that to get a step by step troubleshooting and disassembly guide for the rear blower.

Not in accordance with the Toyota guide I removed the blower smacked it with a screwdriver a couple of times and then reinstalled it and now it works fine.

What size screwdriver? I'm sure someone else is going to have this same problem and will need to know :anonymous:

You need a 14mm and a 10mm to remove all the panels and bolts (ie 3rd row, seatbelts, and 3rd row support bracket) then the blower motor itself is held in with 3 flathead screws.

I smacked the blower motor with a #1 3” Phillips head screwdriver, make sure it’s a black one.

check out operation CHARM, car repair manuals for everyone.
