Do not buy Truxedo Elevate Bars before reading this!

I purchased Truxedo Elevate FS bed bars and optional connecting piece to fasten the front and rear bar for my 2023 Toyota Tundra. LOVED the bars initially. Then I decided to get some accessories to mount to the bars..... this is where my dream became a nightmare. It appears that Truxedo took it upon themselves to design a T slot that no one else uses. I have looked high and I have looked low, but no other T bolt or nut fits them. Out of desperation, I ordered the material needed to make my own! A tap was needed to thread the bar and a welder is also required. I don't complain about items often. In fact this is my first giving negative feedback that I remember making on this forum. But if a company like Truxedo is going to take it upon themselves to invent a new standard, at least make the necessary accessories for that item also! Complete and total lack of product support, and over something as stupid as the size of T slot you decide to incorporate into your item. Unreal.
