Well today was side step swap day. The truck cam with Toyota Predator steps from the factory. They look great but are nearly useless, especially when getting out.
So went with GoRino Dominator D6. The install was a bear alone two floor jacks and lots of cussing. For those doing these install the brackets on the sidesteps first rather than how the instructions say installing the brackets first then attaching the sidesteps.
Of course i had to remove the “Real Truck” logo plate riveted to them. Lol

I ended up with these, after looking at a TON of different options. They go on the truck Saturday with my son as a helper. I was looking at the overall installation and definitely putting the brackets on first is the way to go.

I don't mind the wide platform, the fact they are super tucked up against the rocker panel is the sell for me. Plus i got them on a major sale/scratch and dent.

I was debating these with the R30 or R20 (not the slims) and glad I went with these. The D6's only come with 3 brackets per side, yet the factory has a spot for 4. I emailed Real Truck to see if I could order an additional bracket for each side, but have not heard back.

My other Tundra came with these from Amazon. I was going to order them as I like the look, but ultimately went with Real Truck.
