Well, I’ve seen a few others on here with the same issue but the vinyl for the console lid on my 2019 SR5 finally pulled away. I made the issue more complicated because I have katskinz and wanted my console to match the seats. I got some samples from leatherseats.com and had them make me a cover for about $100. Happy to share the process with anyone that wants to know, but would recommend this company to others as they were extremely helpful. Came out great! I'm in a similar situation but when I watched the reupholster process video it looked like more work than I'm motivated to do. Based on your post I may just take the plunge.

Also in that same boat and have been for a while. I just called around to a few upholstery shops to get quotes. Yours came out extremely well, but not process I have drive to dig into.

I’ll say, I was a bit hesitant to jump in and do it but once I actually sat down it only took a little over an hour to do.

    Nicely done.

Did you remove the entire old cover?

Spay adhesive everywhere or just certain areas?

I'm about do do mine with an Amazon replacement.

I barely used any spray, just where it has to be fixed for the phone insert. It’s all upholstery staples.

Very nicely done! Did you follow a video or other instruction or did you just dive in and mimic the factory assembly?

Followed the vid, the problem with factory assembly (and why we are in this boat) they just glued the thing and it’s not enough to keep it intact. It needs the staples as well or you will just be in the same boat.

My 2018 has really hung on. It matches the black Katzkin I put in closely enough that it's never bothered me, but I just know that eventually my vinyl is going to start to pull loose.

I just dropped mine off at an upholstery shop to have reworked. He's going to heat up, stretch, re-glue and staple down. For less than $50. Well worth it to me.

Jealous, don’t have a shop close by. I will say this is definitely better than factory and more comfortable.

Nice job! I ordered a custom leather cover from them as well to match my Katzkin seats.IMG_1072.jpg IMG_1076.jpg

Also did this mod and had them match colors from my katskin seats.

I've had it 2 or so months and its holding up amazing thus far. Seats are holding up great too after a year

You can order katzkin vinyl by the yard.
I had a shop wrap my armrest and dash trims without any stitching. They did all 3 for $50 labor. I took them the parts. They did not remove it or install on my truck. Just upholsterer labor to wrap the parts. They used glue and staples. He also did not remove the black vinyl off the arm rest. He said it would look and feel better leaving it. But he did bevel the edges of the arm rest vinyl at a 45° angle with a razor blade. He made a angled slice all around the edges of the arm rest, basically damaging the original arm rest before installing the new vinyl over. He said it keeps it from being to lumpy around the edges when he folds over. Even though he "altered/ damaged" it, once it's covered in glue it's already damaged too.
I just told you guys that step he did, because it seemed to be one of those years of experience things he was doing by beveling the edge. He said for the door panels he'd be doing the same thing.

Going to remove the door panels and take off the trim and have those wrapped soon. Then reinstall myself. And wrap the silver dash trim with a matte wood wrap.

I know the stitching look is nicer, and the real 1794 stitched door panels and dash look better, this was a relatively cost effective way for me to get most of what I wanted.
