That’s just a shell on a custom chassis. You could make a VW beetle or anything else look menacing that way.

Got the Billie’s in for the wife’s JGC. Gonna go with a mild 0.75” lift up front. Getting 275/55/20s to replace the 265/50/20s

I already told you :p and I provided a Dirt Every Day video the last time we had this discussion.
Remove the removable top, open the windows and sun roof.

If they exist, do a 2" lift and get some 265/75r16 or something

“Some of the disadvantages of airless tires include high rolling resistance, ride stiffness, and high purchasing costs”

Probably best for short trips unless you don’t worry about the increased gas costs.

Hey dude, wanted to check in on you, heard some shit went down (shootings) in your neck of the woods related to a fire call, but didn’t see a lot of details yet. Not sure if you’re still active, but also guessing I’m not the only person on here wanting to make sure you’re alright, else I’d just PM.

Forgot to shout out to yours as well. Yours is nice too! I think it’s the glass to fiberglass ratio. More glass looks better.
Ok - that’s good to hear. My wife is usually pretty handy when I need help on stuff like this. She can hold her own when I need her.

I’ve seen the winch setups on the garage ceiling and it seems like a good way to go. Half day project that’d be cheap and fun and make it way easier to take off and put on the topper. I’m kinda wondering if it may be one of those things that I absolutely love once I put it on.
Yeah I see what you’re talking about with the fit at the edge of the rail there. I don’t know what the bed rail cap is technically called, but it seems like on most that I like you can’t see that. On this one, you can so it looks a little funky. You have body - then a sliver of bed rail cap - then the topper. Instead of just body to topper.
Good input. Man your truck looks so good.

Yeah I use my bed maybe once or twice a year for real truck stuff like firewood, mulch, stuff like that. But then I take it on usually 3-4 cross Texas road trips and one road trip to Colorado every year with the family. Me, wife, and three boys with outdoor gear. And on those trips, I do think it’d be nice to have something to keep everything dry and safe. Also it’s nice to be able to stop in Santa Fe at a hotel and not have to unload the bed for fear of everything getting stolen out of the bed.

I think if this topper falls into my hands for cheap, I might go for it. But the softopper does check almost all the boxes and I’d still consider it enough to protect stuff in the bed. If someone wants my tackle box bad enough to slice a hole in my softopper, they probably need it more than I do.

We but BFG trail terrains on my wife’s trailblazer back in the day and I liked em. They’re an on-road all terrain similar to these coopers.

Slicing a hole in it to steal your shit just adds insult to injury. If they want it, the back window unzips and the side flaps unsnap.
I never had an issue when I had my Softopper. But you bet I made all stops where I was out of the sight line of the truck brief, anytime I had gear in the back.

I haven't loaded up the Tundra with firewood, but I have loaded up the Tacoma and the Silverado. The Tacoma was riding on the bumps with a full load. The Silverado didn't care. The Tundra would probably be somewhere in between, but I'm not sure I would want more than I could fit inside with the cap!
