There is also likely a junction connector on the dash harness to engine room harness that may be easier to access and hijack the signal. I would need to do some digging

I need to do my ‘05 someday. But part of me likes that the speedo reads high as far as my kids learning how to drive. Don’t care so much about the odometer being off. And it’s nice to lie to myself about fuel economy.

I think that would be the most logical (easy) way to do it. No cutting required, just get a 2-pin connector, populate 3 of the wires, and the 4th wire is added using the ABS wire you pop out of the 40-pin at the back of the cluster.

The one wire on the same side as the ABS wire you pinned in would need to have the same male or female terminator, which would insert into the cluster where the ABS wire was.

The other two wires would only need to be pigtails. The one that picks up the OEM ABS wire needs to attach to the YBX input, and the other one will be the YBX output, which hands off the updated modulation "TO CLUSTER".

Effectively, this - If you can de-pin a wire from the 40-pin harness, you're golden:

This is a good point, I forgot which page, but one page in here, someone talks about an intercept above the kick panel that is carrying the ABS feed.

Previous members have, as you'll read in prior pages. Sounds like they weren't super interested in digging on the topic. Do you have a good contact there?
