My engine oil smells like fuel. It's not terrible but noticable. I replaced my O2 sensors because it was time anyway, but that did not seem to help. I thought I'd check for some common issues before going down the rabbit hole.

What should I check next? Can I diagnose using an ECU data logger?

Both are petroleum products, so naturally, they're both going to smell like petrol. I've noted (on several cars I've owned) the same, where there almost seems to be a tinge of gas smell to the oil. Are you 100% positive this is an issue, or did you just now realize for the first time, "oh wow, used oil almost smells like gas!" ?

Change your PCV valve and oil first.

Back in the day my 70 Dodge Challenger mechanical fuel pump was leaking fuel into crankcase, the atomized vapors started choking out the car at idle. You can always send a oil sample to blackstone if you are worried, but slight fuel smell is normal.
