Were you able to measure the front hub centers to fenders to figure out what lift height you ended up with?

I measured from the ground to the bottom of the flares but I will have to do it from the hub. I know that I didn't lose any height between these and the Toytecs.

Brought it to the dealer finally. They said they saw no issue. Everything looked ok. They attributed the extra movement to my larger tires and the lift. I have no noise or bumps so I am not too worried. Every tire rotation I will continue to check for ball bearing movement and wear.

Did you order this yet? I was about to pull the trigger then noticed that the right side doesn't have the Display button (should be where red circle is).

I think the two sides are wired together, so I'm unsure if only the left side w/ black volume buttons could be used w/ original right side w/ Display button.

    Screenshot 2025-06-25 082029.png

Edit: did a google image search & in all pics I'm seeing the two sides are wired together. Not sure I want to re-pin connectors for this...or if it'd even work.

Gave the truck a bath today. Cruising at 80mph through Northern Nevada and Eastern Oregon results in lots of bug splats...and those bugs were big and juicy.

The truck seems to be in the shop 5 days for every 1 day of driving you do. I know a lot of the fun is to really dial it down and push the platform, but do you ever see a point where it's "mostly done" and you can just cruise it for a few months? Or is this a life long pursuit that will never end. No judgements either way, just curious as an outsider following along!

Yep, the Escort was the Ranger of Ford compact cars. A buddy of mine drove one. My sister had a Gremlin. Interesting car that was. Had the old school lift kit, shackles on the leaf springs.....and wide tires. Had a V8 in it. Not all that fast but it would go. She had a 58 Chevy before that. That was an awesome car.

This is actually the longest stint of it being down recently. Other wise I drive it daily and wheel it every weekend.. and I’ve only owned the truck 3 years. Year 1 was long trips included 1000+ miles of hard runs in Baja in the truck. Then Mojave road multiple times etc. I definitely use it more than it’s down. And finding weak points and removing them will prolong the need to do anything later we aren’t exactly easy on the rig. But we’re nearing then end of the build after this phase only a few more big items planned

Drove the wife’s 4Runner out west for about 5500 miles. I had installed Power Stop brakes on it a year or so ago. It stops on a dime compared to the Tundra. So I am currently shopping for the best price I can find for a set for my truck. Might also add braided lines… and I also contacted the local OTT tuner… the mods will never end…

That's truly impressive. I love the fact that these trucks can handle that. I know yours has a lot of modifications but it seems to be a great platform to start things from. I know I love mine!!

It’s interesting, the tundra is a great platform for sure. But with these types of builds far less aftermarket support than other platforms and thus leading to having to create or figure more things out along the way. Still part of the fun. If I were to do this again I’d definitely just buy a gutted Chevy cab and full tube chassis and a big block Chevy motor. Less is more in these. Less electrical Nannie’s and computer bs
