My 2018 1794 has three cig sockets. Two up front and one on the rear of the center console.

I assume they’re all 10 or 15 amps; thus 120 or 180 watts. Seems unlikely to be 20/240.

But having a hard time finding any meaningful specs.

Why does that matter? My understanding is DC 12 volts are also about 10-20 amps. And wattage is calculated the same for DC as it is for AC - volts * amps = watts.

I’m no electrician so please let me know if I’m wrong.

A few... Definitely more than 2
There are two circuits I think the front two are the same and the rear is its own. They are fused at 10 amps each and on 2nd gen the cover is stamped with 120 watts not sure if they kept that for 2.5 but either way it is 120 watts.

    Too many, but not enough....
Probably 10 amps. Can check what the fuse rating is.

    Thank you. This is helpful.

Ok so dumb question since I know little about electricity. If the front two are on the same circuit, is that 120 watts split between the two of them - so a max of 120 between whatever is plugged in, or can both power 120 watts individually?

What are you trying to run off these outlets? Let’s start there.

Check the build link in my signature.
A single 10A fuse for two plugs means that the total combined load must be less than the reading in the circuit. Just like your house outlets. Also account for any starting surges if you’re looking at plugging in something that uses a motor.

Well… shit. Not sure why I thought I remember it being 10. I will change my statement then, from pulling the dash apart and seeing the gauge of wire feeding the outlets I still would not trust it for more than 10 amps regardless of the fuse rating.

I tapped my seat heaters and console phone charger off that circuit with no issue.
Both seat heaters are rarely used at the same time, and each has its own fuse.
Don't remember how big it is.

I've run both seat heaters and the charger at the same time without a problem.
