Anyone use a Diamondback Tonneau cover meant for other trucks but same bed size?

Wanting to buy a Diamondback cover but trying to buy third party. I frequently see covers for other trucks that are 5’ 6”. I know they say they are truck specific but was wondering if anyone has tried to install.

I emailed them about a DB cover in my area for sale for a 5’7” Ram bed a while back. They said it doesn’t fit correctly.

I wouldn’t try it. Especially if you want it to keep out as much rain as possible.

Hey there - apologies if this was later answered in another post. I am looking on FB at a Diamondback cover made for a 2022 F-150 short bed. I am reaching out to the seller for the dimensions. Would anyone be able to post the dimensions of a cover on a 2nd Gen Tundra? Not sure if it's perfectly square, may need to measurements at the cab and at the tailgate. Mine is a 2021 SR5 CrewMax short bed - "2.5 Gen." Thank you!

I have the 270 on my ‘16 Crewmax and I love it. It is not perfectly square, these specs should have the numbers you are after. Keep in mind to make sure and check configuration on how the locking rods are oriented as they are probably vehicle specific too, mine uses the factory bed rails and if your truck has them also, then that is the way you will most likely want to go. Not sure how the F-150’s are set up but there is some adjustability to the locking rods and how they attach to the actual cover.
