Yeah, they can get complicated quick.

Low pressure, high pressure, multiple tanks and valves, UV lights.
Probably more types that I don't know about, almost like they figured out how to make it a money maker..

I've already got the caterer picked out, so all you need to do is give me the date, time, and your new address. Oh, and also you credit card of course, and I'll set it up.

Your air filters are on the roof? Thats some commercial bull snot! Might be able to put new return registers down inside the house to make it easier

ya, I talked to the builder about this, they put in a crap ton of returns and vents in the house to make sure the air flow is awesome, and it cools with ease.

that was the good news, the home inspector fired up both units and it was like damn, now thats some cooling power air flow, lol.

but, the filter change is up on the roof instead of a ton of filters down in the house, he said they thought that was better than having a crap ton of return filters to deal with some of which I think are pretty high up anyways.

the guy was super cool, still local and offered to help me with it if needed.

It was about the only thing I didn't like about it, but not worth not buying it over.

It sounds like he knew what he was doing, thats not my area of expertise per say; my motto is “air don’t care” when it comes to ducting and what not hahah

Ok that’s good. Those are refrigerants, 410 is being phased out just like it did to r22. The phase out is being replaced with R32 and R454b- both slightly flammable refrigerants. So they come with extra safeguards and related BS. Both gasses have been being used in new units for 6-12 months already(don’t quote me on that) but 454 isn’t even available for purchase…….. so it has a lot of technicians worried because if you have a leak or need to top off a unit, your totally screwed. A lot of other things including tools and practices have to be changed and adapted to these slightly flammable refrigerants

Yeah heat pumps suck, I hate em! The electric heat is for when it goes into defrost in the winter, they use a lot of energy year round and even more in winter

ya. no natural gas here. only my range and fireplace run on it for now

Im going to get a propane pool heater only for special occasions and a bigger tank with auto monitoring and fills, because, why not.

also outdoor kitchen will need it when I add that.

No gas on my street either, so that's why I have the heat pump. Like @FrenchToasty said, the electric heater thing is like a big ass toaster, mine came with one but we never installed it, it's in my storage shed. That is weird with the filters on the roof, usually they're in the closet with the air handler. Just remember, it can be dusty out here and it's a good idea to change them monthly, especially in high use times like summer.

I don’t remember anything in any closets , I think it’s sealed up on the roof so it’s not like it’s drawing outside air in the unit from the wide open air up there I don’t think

I’ll have to check it all out when I get out there
