    You know, hypothetically speaking, fairly minor, but real scratches that can't be seen unless you get up in the bed.
    • It has exactly the options and color you want;
    • It could take who knows how long for another one to show up;
    • You've already negotiated an acceptable deal.
    What do you do:
    • Walk away from the deal;
    • Whine and complain, then drive away in your new truck;
    • Let them "buff it out," – you know, cut through the clear coat so the paint can fail in the future;
    • Accept as-is, for some additional discount (how much?);
    • Something else...

    I got mine with damage on the door during delivery and I took $1200 dealer gift card to forget about it. My truck has been dinged and scratched lots since I’ve had it…

    Mine had strap scratches on one side near bed rails. Truck is army green so it showed alot. Dealer called in his best paint freelance guy. Like it never happened. 3 years later still can't see it.

    Depends on how terrible the scratches are but I'd lean heavily on the negotiated discount.

    Mine had 3 hail hits on the roof. You could only see them when standing in the bed and looking at a low angle. The dealer fixed it using PDR. No issue.

    I'd negotiate a better deal just because money saved. But I'm going to scratch the hell out of it off-roading anyway, and couldn't care any less.
