No Reverse

    I have a 2011 Toyota Tundra 5.7L FFV with a 6 Speed Auto Transmission.

    Current Problem: P = Good R = does nothing, acts like park N = Drive in first gear D = Fine

    A few months ago my reverse went out, when under the vehicle I found a dead bird onto of the transmission by the TRS. Last week I finally had time to really dig into the truck, found a shift solenoid wasn't testing correctly and "Stuck." Replaced the solenoid, found the Manual Valve Actuator wasn't aligned properly and fixed that as well.

    I popped the pan back on and filled her up with Toyota WS, waited until 108*F and opened the check hole letting the excess fluid spill out waiting for it to be a thin stream (or drip). Found that the TRS wasn't aligned right either so I jacked her up, threw her in neutral and was able to get it aligned properly.

    I decided to take the pan off the transmission one more time, I replaced the filter and inspected the valve body, no cracks bends, or general anomalies. I popped the pan back on and did the re-fill process again, decided not to use the same ATF I just replaced it with so I could continue to replace the old fluid without a power drain.

    Now I know there is a Neutral Learning Procedure that you should really run through techstream when you move the TRS but I didn't have that software or a compatible OBD2 scanner that is capable of such things.

    Can confirm via scanner SW Status changes with the gear shift. The only thing that doesn't change is the "Current Gear." I've inspected the Manual Valve Spool, TRS, Shift Linkages, VSS. Not sure where to go from here. When inspecting the valve body I was able to look at some of the transmission plates and noticed no welded together plates, heat fractures, or burnt disks. I tested the old ATF for any metal, burning smell, or general anomalies and found nothing there.

    Current status = P = Good R = Does Nothing N = drive in 1st gear D = Good (shifts through all gears perfectly fine).
