    Dammit!!!
Y'all are making me want a new boat!
    This would be #3...
The Wife and I have been discussing getting a new SailBoat.
    Somewhere in the 40ft range.
We'd either sell the house or rent it out for several years until we want to stop sailing.
Been looking at Island Packet, fantastic cruising boats!!!
Obviously this would be a huge decision but we're not getting any younger.
Would mainly stay in the Caribbean.

Always thought it would be nice to have a Pontoon Boat.
Lots of room and a dry ride.
Kinda like a living room on the water.

My second one. The 180 was a great boat, had a 22’ Bennington at the same time but my wife liked the Grady so much she suggested we get a bigger one. Who am I to argue?

I'm boatless at the moment other than our kayaks.
    Like they say...

Never agreed with that saying neither; sold my boat spring 2023 and boy was it a sad day and I miss it daily. Sold to 2 local Police Officers and they said they’d contact me before they sold it again.

However I did join Freedom Boat club just after selling and I must say it’s been awesome so far. Nice to be able to walk on and off the boat without cleaning it, refueling, etc.

    That would be nice lol

But we usually try to start our season the first week of April and end it Thanksgiving weekend (weather depending of course) and they don't operate that early or late here, my wife and I like to fish.

Think a lot of it has to do with age and how long you've owned boats.
Had one since the Wife and I got married 35 years ago.
The novelty kinda wears off after awhile.
Do I see myself getting another boat one day?
    Absolutely!!
But it'd be nice to live on the water so you weren't having to trailer it everywhere you go.
Or better yet buy that 40ft Island Packet the Wife and I have been eyeing!!
We've wanted to take up Cruising for a long time!!!
Just waiting on the Wife to retire.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    good summation.

we live on an active lake. Lake Conroe.

if it's just me and the wife, we just toodle around looking at houses.

if we have a gaggle of kids, it's surfing, eating, floating.

    all of it is fun.

we are thankful to be able to partake.

Been to Lake Conroe many times.
My only complaint is there are some total idiots on the water on the weekends.
And it's even worse on Holiday Weekends!!

yeah come spring time we’re itching to get out over here in SJ and they aren’t open yet which is a bummer. Plus and minus with everything :)

I do miss the feeling of having my own boat, until the winterization and boat slip bills came in

From what I can tell it's the semi adult kids taking their parents boat out with their buddies.
Just add alcohol and it can get pretty crazy.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    Agreed.

It's the rental folks taking out the pontoon boats and pulling the float behind it....not looking out for other boats.

I think it's awesome for folks to get out on the water.

    everyone should do it.

it keeps the kids off the damn phones & has them do something physical.

the Freedom boat club is a good biz.

being able to cruise to a decent restaurant and then go play on the water is a nice luxury.

anchoring in party cove & shooting the shit with like minded folks is pure gold.

sunset cruises are a hit with us.

They're allegedly in Canada but they have one location on the west coast and that's it.
