I am new to this so if I sound like a moron on this please don't hesitate to help me learn... I have a 2016 TRD Off-Road with 3500 miles and am considering upgrading the suspension to the TRD Pro suspension kit OR 5100's OR are there other options I should consider? I would like to level it out and from what I have read the Pro Suspension Kit OR 5100's will do that for me and the Pro give a better ride- however the the TRD Pro kit will cost $3200... Are there better options I should consider that may cost less or the same? On asphalt 75% of the time.

    Thanks in advance.

To keep it simple, I think you are on the right track. I'm no suspension expert though. I am still on the stock setup.

Bilstein also makes the 6112, which I think would be my pick. Seems like the middle of the road between the 5100 and the TRD setup.

Thanks @WarEagleSteve - I like that... do you install yourself or have a shop install? Any idea as to what an install cost?

There is plenty of middle ground. Many on here run the Toytec Boss or Toytec/Radflo front coilovers and I have seen nothing but positive reviews so far. I run Bilstein 5100's on middle setting (1.53" lift) and I will more than likely upgrade to the Boss setup sooner or later.

Hell for cheaper than your quote on the TRD Pro suspension you could go KING or Fox.

@WarEagleSteve how do you like the 6112's? How does it compare to stock TRD off road setup if you recall?

I would go KING, ICON, FOX or even ADS before buying TRD pro for full price. TRD pro is good if you can score a deal like $1K for it. check Craigslist they pop up from time to time.

get the trd pro suspension. the driving feel is now as nice as my old yukon denali --super smooth. and get it from coinicelli parts outside philly area. they are a toyota dealer and i believe i got is for 2200 or less, just wait for there 10% off sales they have a few per year. maybe the next one is black friday week or around christmas. i drove the hour and half and saved even more with no delivery. and pay a local garage to do the install probably around 200 i forget.

Where you from? I bought my truck from Conicelli, and get parts from them. I got my TRD PRO exhaust with a 10% discount and picked it up. Coincidentally they have a Halloween 10% sale right now.

I appreciate all of the responses on this thread. I'm also in the same boat, having just purchased a 2018 Tundra CM Limited and now want to start with some MODs. Was considering the TRD PRO suspension, though it seems priced a bit high when compared to other manufacturers like:
I'm just not sure which one to chose, as this is not my area of expertise. Any help and/or suggestions would be most welcome.

I went the cheap route for now and am doing 5100's up front to level it out and some new tires- After my research if I were working with a budget similar to the $$ you have listed I would have gone with Toytec Boss kit

I think I've seen the TRD Pro suspension, coil overs and rear shocks, for $2350-2500. I'm curious if the TRD Pro suspension is a lift over the TRD Offroad, and if so, how much of a lift.

King also make a rather expensive but knob adjustable OEM replacement that is a 2.5" lift specially made for the Tundra. It is daily driver comfortable according to the description.

I'd prefer to pay less, but I want a soft ride like the stock TRD Offroad (or better), but lifted. I think a 2.5 front to 1" rear or 3" to 1" lift would be about as high as I want to go. And I'm worried about parking garages at that.

Nice truck @WarEagleSteve I think it's the first time I've seen it. I like that leveled out look and mix of chrome and colormatched. What size tires are you running?

Ever think of painting the pinch weld black? I did it on my tacoma and loved the way it hid it.

If the budget is around $2,000.00 dollars Icon, king and Toytec all have great choices that will give you lift and a way better ride then stock. What helped me make my choice was a great shop that is not to far from me. I asked them all the questions and they pointed me in right direction. I went with them and a product they sell for future support if its ever needed.

Looks great @Casper3! Stock UCAs? Are those 6112s on the 1.9 or 2.5in setting?
