2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 - tailgate won't unlock with FOB or manual key

Hi all, I am new to this forum. I don't know much about vehicles, but we are trying to troubleshoot here before heading to the dealer. Our tailgate unlocks/locks via our FOB and manual key. As of 2 weeks ago, it won't unlock via the FOB or manual key. To add to it, we have a locked tonneau cover so have no way of accessing the inside of the truck bed either. Any suggestion or advice on what to do here?
