Is my 2006 Tundra considered a full size, or half size?

I know, silly question, but I need to rent a utility trailer to bring my lawn tractor to the shop (the trailer I have here at home is 2 inches too narrow, and believe me, I've tried everything to get the tractor to fit except take off the mower deck...which I don't feel competent to do, especially the putting-it-back-on-part when I get home.)

This is what the rental place says I need this in order to tow the 5'X12' trailer I need:
"FULL SIZE 1/2 TON+ TRUCK REQUIRED TO TOW"

Can you tell me if my truck will be allowed to tow this trailer?

    Thanks for any help!

Edited to add: I forgot to say that my truck is a 6 cylinder

That was a quote you made 5 years ago....is that the same "access cab" truck today ?

If so....IMHO yes your 06 AC V6 is considered a Full Size 1/2 ton and should have no trouble pulling that trailer w/mower.

Must be a wide mower ?

    From 06 Owners Manual....

Thank you, BubbaW. Yep, it's the same truck. I sure appreciate the info...you'd think I could find it easily online but I guess I didn't look carefully enough.

I sure didn't think it was a wide lawn mower. The width with mower deck is 50 inches or a touch more. The trailer I have here is 4 feet wide...sigh...

My neighbor who is vacationing in Montana just offered me his trailer, but he can't remember how wide it is, so I'm headed up to his place to measure. He has it parked on a rather steep hill, up around and above his house. I may not feel comfortable driving my truck up to get it. So... I may yet have to rent a trailer, and it's good to know the rental place won't send me packing because my truck doesn't fit their specifications.

    Thanks again!

    Sounds great.....too bad rental doesn't have a 5'x 8' trailer.

Thank you again...turns out it DOES have a 5X8 trailer - I hadn't looked far enough down the page until I read what you wrote!

My neighbor's trailer is a great size for what I need, 8X10. I'd love to use it, but it is parked way up behind their house on a steep hill, and I do not feel I can get my truck up that hill, driving over grass, figure out how to turn the truck around, and then back up the hill to hook up the trailer.

So I will use the rental place. The 5X8 trailer is $40 for the day, and cheap at the price.

I am so relieved that I can get the tractor to the shop...hope this works out tomorrow...

Its barely a half ton, more like 3/8th. Its a fat tacoma. Camry with a bed. Gets winded without a trailer. & once you do get a load rolling, damned if you cant stop.

i treat mine like a half ton and its never happy about it.

I’d say our trucks are 7/8ths the tow capacity compared to the same year and configuration for a Chevy 1/2 ton Silverado of the same year.

Width wise, it’s only 3-3.5 inches shorter.

Only pulled the outback one time with the FGT. Hadn’t taken delivery of the 2019 CM yet, needed to move the camper. FGT got’r’dun. But I don’t have that camper anymore either. This is the current one

Well, it went like clockwork this morning. Flawless. No indication of stress at all, sound or performance, from the truck, as I pulled the trailer loaded with the tractor up the steep half-mile hill just outside my driveway. Easy pull to the tractor mechanic about 25 miles away.

The only issue was that I had to remember how to use ratchet straps (smile)

    Love this truck.

And love you people...thank you for information, and for the boost of confidence I needed to get this job done.
