I believe when I put my Tundra into reverse it momentarily made a grinding noise. Sounded like it came from front left portion of the engine. I made sure that I didn’t come in contact with anything external. Has anyone else noticed this issue? Also the first few days of ownership when exiting the truck it smells like burning brakes/oil possibly, not sure if that’s an issue also.

Burning smell for me lasted until nearly 1k miles. It dissipated after that and never came back. No leaks, no problems.

OP - did you know what's wrong?

I have this "issue" with my '24 hybrid. It only lasts momentarily, I think it is "ABS check" but not sure
