Please if I’m wrong just tell me. I bought my 2023 Tundra from a local pretty large dealership and it went fine but my biggest gripe is that safe in the console has no access. The dealer has no key, no code and only asked to remove the safe instead of replacing the lock. This is kinda fresh so sorry for the ranting. I’ve reached out to the manufacturer of the safe but didn’t think I should be responsible for the cost. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

They can't remove it if they can't open it. At least not without destroying your truck in the process.

Can the dealer call the previous owner? Sometimes the easiest solution is the best.

Can the lock not be drilled out and replaced? Never had one before but it seems lightweight enough to do so.

Have you tried the factory code of all zero's? If that doesn't work a locksmith can take care of it.

Is the console safe the factory Toyota safe? I had the same problem with mine. Came with the safe and it was open, but they did not have the key to override. If the safe is open you can hold in the pin on the end and set a new 3 digit code and release and it will change the combination.
This is the factory console safe:

If you can get it open (drill it out) you can buy a new lock on Amazon. That's what I did.
Here is the lock for the Toyota factory Safe.

The dealer can find a phone number to call in the instructions for the console safe.. I will see if I can dig it up for you

    That was easy....try 1-800-878-1369

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up having the locksmith open it for 40$. Up just order a new lock and install it. The dealership had no desire to help me. The safe wasn’t a Toyota safe and there wasn’t any markings on it.
