Mud guards

New 2025 Tundra owner. Previous owner of 3 Tacoma's. Picked up my Limited on Wednesday. 2 questions. Looking for mud guard (flap) suggestions. I was happy with the guards that came on the Tacoma but apparently, Toyota does not sell them for this generation Tundra? I do notice in the rear wheel well, it is kinda angled and not sure how that would affect the positioning of a mud guard. Any recommendations? WeatherTech sells a nice set but pricey.
Also, I will be installing the dash cam I previously had in Tacoma. I was able to purchase a dash cam power kit that taps into the power from the rear view mirror rather than running a power cord to cigarette lighter. Much cleaner look. That is a 12 pin adapter and the connection is directly behind mirror. In a 2025 Tundra, you have to remove the overhead lights/glass holder compartment to get to the power. Does anybody know how many pins on that? I would rather know ahead of time before removing. Thanks for any help!

I installed OEM mud flaps on my 2025 limited and have been very happy with my 33” K03s. Occasionally they come up for sale used.

Raven67 Thanks. I did purchase these but have not installed yet. Waiting on side steps and wheel well covers to be delivered so I can do all at once. Thanks for the replies.

 

I bought some Rok Blokz and installed them last night on my PRO. Seem quality and they provide 1/4" more tire clearance on my truck over the OEM which is great news for those running 35ish sized tires with a little rub. My wife's Bronco has Rek Gen mudguards which are also a nice option. They are thicker but not necessarily better than the Rok Blokz as its okay to have a little flex to deflect direct hits offroad. Rek Gens are very stiff at least on the Bronco.

 

I have a set of OEM's from my TRD Pro that just came off, needed to remove to fit 37's....

 

I put Rok Blokz on my 24 Tundra. I plan to keep stock size tires and they were a little wider than I wanted, so I figured out how much I wanted to take off and put them on the table saw. A little sanding on the sawed edge and they looked like they were made that way. They protect the paint very well.

 

Much better looking than OEM flaps.

 

Hopefully within a couple of weeks I will know if the Rokblokz will fit with my 37. I really hope so as I drive on the job site and always get some splash. Got a wild hair and pick red Rokblokz!!

 

Got my RB installed today. Did the front to check for rubbing. There is rubbing, that just cause my liner was cut off and is now missing to place the screw farthest inside the wheel well. Just now have to come up with some way to get a long screw to help with the rubbing and it's minor rubbing. Do wish they were better than just a Phillips ss screw. Maybe some type of torx screw.

 

Adding some more caster should open up a little more room behind your front tires.

 

Do you have to puncture the fender or these utilize existing factory holes?

 

You utilize existing factory holes, no puncturing nor drilling. But be careful to tighten the screws.

Replaced my OEM flaps with RokBlokz after upsizing tires with some poke. Much better coverage now.
I got the XL's and trimmed 2" from the fronts, (so basically back to the standard size) and left the rears long. Radiused the corners and deburred. Other than the logo is gone on the front ones, you can't tell that I modified them.

Definitely a subjective statement, and I have them on my truck. I'll take big flaps over rock chips any day though.
When you go big on tires and have any amount of poke, the stockers are puny and worthless.

They (RokBlokz) are absolutely more functional and provide a ton of coverage.
