Never heard of break in period. Been SC'd since 2012 on the Tundra been on quite a few forums throughout the years and never was mentioned or talked about. Just not going wot on a cold engine...

The only thing I got with it is a License plate frame and a TDN module.
    Or Tune Delivery Network unit.
Haven't seen this before but it looks interesting.
Being able to send the tuner your info and him being able to send back a tune is pretty slick.

When I had my Tacoma SCed it was the same.
No mention of a break in period and considering Magnuson made the TRD SCer you'd think they would have mentioned it.

The only "break-in" that I can fabricate would be to allow the ECU to adapt at a more casual rate in case there are any adjustments needed in the tune. Kind of reaching though.

    He did mention that.
Says the ECU will take a little while to learn the SC and of course your driving style.

With all I'm hearing from the Peeps here I'll probably get on it a bit harder now.

i think most people here would say to put like 50 easy miles on it to make sure its not leaking or doing anything weird, then send it.

and get a wideband AFR gauge

at the very least get a obd2 app or cheap scan tool so you can monitor the fuel trims and see if theyre way off

Come to think of it I should've taken some pics of the cars.
I've never seen so many high end cars in one place.
I'll take some when I bring it back for its 400 mile check up.
Had to resist the urge to run my hand over the Lambos!!
They had two parked SxS that were identical other than the color.

@reywcms had his list on here a few pages back, Prospeed lists their specs, and XAT lists theirs, and @Jowett shared the information about the ARP bolts and studs.

The only delta I've seen from the XAT baseline is that I think Prospeed and Rey both opted for the upgraded Manley rods over the BCs that XAT uses in their baseline (which are still rated for over 1200 HP per the BC site), so it's a solid starting point/list to share.

If you choose not to ask them to price out those specs, let me know and I'll ping them myself as my plan B or C.

Looks like your normal build--pistons, rods, studs, machining, balancing.

I would also do main studs and probably upgraded main caps, just we're talking pretty good power and the V8 life isn't kind to mains.

    Dammit!!!
Took the Truck out to have a little fun with the SCer....
The F'n traffic has gotten so bad around here I got one chance to step on it a little!!!
And I was gone for almost an Hour!!!
When we first moved out here it was easy to find some open road!!!
    Not anymore.....
Used to be able to get on my Motorcycle and be gone for hours hitting the back road twisties!!
    Makes me want to move!!!

Just received the ASP billet water pump pulley. Reduced size by 13.4 percent to accomodate the 6.71 inch crank pulley and will help when stepping up to the 7 inch crank pulley.

Original motor was picked up, on its way to be reborn. ARP studs are unavailable in USA per the shop, he found them for 500 2 day from Canada.

I was honestly surprised that it was in stock when I went poking around. It was strictly a curiosity. I can also never find ARP stuff in stock when I actually need it lol.

They don't have it listed on the website. Just ask for the billet waterpump pulley for the 5.7. It's $125. ASP has their machine shop out of Navasota..

Thermal blanket just showed up. Not bad for being shipped cross country 3 times. PA to WA, WA to NJ and back here. UPS had a sorting issue. Now if friends stop calling asking me to help move stuff I can pull that SC.

Is that the diagnosed "dropped valve" engine? Are the cylinder walls too damaged, or can they be honed?

Yes & I'm hoping the block is ok, he didn't say there was an issue/didn't say there was not.

Also, Toyota of West Covina is sending me a check for 19x.xx don't have to return the starter so I can get the 60.00 core back.
