    Tundra 24 Limited Problems:
    Wind noise is horrible.
    Door and Window Rattle.
    Transmission shifting is hard.
    Acceleration delay.
    Poor power performance when needed.
Never thought I would be looking at one of the big 3, but after 1 year of owing this POS, I am done. We won’t even entertain the new 4Runner for our other vehicle after this poor quality build from Toyota.

There’s a thing called a test drive and also a thing called a warranty. There’s also TSB’s for certain issues. Have you even taken it to the dealership or have you tried to get any of these issues resolved?

Is a 3rd gen Tundra the only Tundra you’ve ever driven?

There are many people like myself who aren’t fond of the 3rd gens because we like the reliability, simplicity, and design of 2nd & 2.5 gens. Just can’t beat the reliability of the naturally aspirated 5.7L V8.

And in my opinion, the body lines and design of the 2nd & 2.5 gens just look better - but again, that’s just a matter of opinion.

Wow my 25 limited off road has no wind noise, still averaging over 20mpg, has a shitload of power. No rattles, trans / engine combo is the best in the industry imo.

go take it to the dealer, have the tsb applied for the issues your having. If still not happy it sell it, then regret it when you buy one of the big 3 and realize they are even worse in every aspect.

Created an account to just to post this?

Valid issues, but also no background…as WindChill said, did you try to have any of these issues addressed at a dealer? Do you have a hybrid or standard? If your mind is made up, then none of this matters. Hopefully you have zero issues on your next endeavor.

everytime I see a post about wind noise, I have a hard time figuring out what they are talking about... I have a 2024 Platinum. Its the quietest truck/vehicle I have ever owned. Granted I came from a 2016 with a 6 inch lift, 37" mud tires and a straight pipe exhaust. I bought it used so maybe the TSB has been done but I dont see it in the service records. Is there a way find out by looking wherever this mysterious noise is or was "issue" fixed in the 24's?? People complain about the smallest things. Its a truck! Not a Maybach

I thought I had wind noise once. Turns out I was listening for said issue so hard after reading this forum and it just happened to be spring in Kansas (30mph+ wind every day). My 2023 is plenty quiet.

My 88yo, hard of hearing Dad commented that "this sucker has a lotta wind noise, don't it!". Granted, he's had Ford/GM for farm trucks his whole life.
Quality control/fit finish is pretty abysmal on the '22/'23 models and yes, I know they nixed the Quality Control/Assurance guy, but that does nothing for the customers with those issues...that was for Toyota's future customers, not present ones.
I've heard more than one service writer say that they've heard these issues more from the 1794 trim than other trims. You'd think the higher, more expensive trimmed trucks would be the best put together, fit/finish wise.

Good Luck, Go get yourself a Silverado, 43,00 miles and mine needed $3,330 of parts that I had to argue with them to get covered under warranty. Electronic glitches since new, traded it the day after getting it back from the repairs.

Yep coolant control valve went bad, left me 30 miles from the delaer and not able to drive over 50 mph all the way there. They charged $178 to look at it, then wanted $361 for a "software upgrade" to see if that fixed it, since it was past the 36,000 bumper to bumper, it didn't fix the problem. Turned out the valve was bad, they actually did have one on the shelf, which is very rare, then said it might not be covered; after some arguing they covered it but I still had to pay $178 for the look over. Got the Meguiers quick wax out that night, and traded it the next day. Truck also had some electronic glitches, the worst being 100 % radio volume when you turned the truck on, had to turn the truck off to re-set it every time.

The odd and more pronounced body lines on newer ‘Yotas (and other makes as well) are due to how the body panels are stamped to provide some sort of rigidity to the extremely thin sheet metal that is utilized in an attempt to meet fuel efficiency standards (or just an excuse to be cheap). The thinner the sheet metal, the more funky “lines”. Or so I’ve heard lol…..

I guess my last post ruffled a few feathers. For the record, I’ve owned a 2014 Tundra (great pickup), my wife had a 2011 Camry, and we also had a 2017 Tacoma. So yes, I’ve spent my fair share of time with Toyota vehicles.

I believe it’s important to post about problems wherever Toyota might see them. At this point, they’re starting to remind me of Boeing—more focused on hiding issues than fixing them. The reputation they built for high standards and exceptional quality control now feels more like a memory than a reality

    Whatever

You think these things haven’t been discussed here?

Nobody believes you ever owned a Toyota.

You created an account and your first post is a shit post. Pretty obvious you have an agenda.

I have a 24 limited I force max and have been pretty disappointed in overall quality and drivability compared to my 2015 I had. Wind noise is noticeable and obnoxious, agree with OP the transmission is not smooth, the throttle lag/jumpiness is actually a safety concern, the rattles on the exterior are pretty bad and indicative of engineers cutting corners to save money. The rear AVS suspension is a joke, suspension is incredibly rough and jarring, CarPlay often freezes/wont load. I hate complaining about my truck but I am seriously considering trading it in.
And speaking of the new 4Runner, that thing was a joke. We test drove one as soon as a dealer had one and drove about 2 miles and turned around. It was a base SR5 but it felt/drove/sounded like a piece of garbage. Huge disappointment for me and my wife. She was set on getting a new one.
