    What’s wrong with stock?
Washed and waxed the tundra and my wife’s 2001 4Runner. Of course it would rain today. IMG_5774.jpg IMG_5775.jpg

Couple of nice father's day gifts installed today. AJT center console panel and cup holder. Quick easy and much nicer than the shiny black.20250615_115340.jpg 20250615_115402.jpg

No, I ordered them from Toyota. Much cheaper, somewhere around $60 each.

I'm still waiting on them to release a v3.0 to fix this poor fitment of the gauge pod. Can you post a pic of this area from standing outside the truck?

I'm wondering if it can be heated and massaged to fit better?

Tried posting a link but it was a massive amount of lines. Look up Aunginsy Armrest Hidden Storage Box Cover 2022+ Tundra on Amazon.

I'm gonna post up a review in the 3rd Gen Banks thread later today or tomorrow, I'll grab the pic you're asking for and post it there and address what you're talking about. That was one of the main items I was going to touch on.

Westin bed topper. I’m 80% satisfied with it haha. Opening/Closing the rear window/tailgate isn’t as smooth anymore. Had to adjust the topper quite a bit for my automatic tailgate to work normally too. Lets see how it does after a few offroad adventures.

tig weld creations exhaust came off today. I tried everything in my power to quiet the exhaust down on the highway. Too much drone for my liking. It was great city driving. I had the factory exit on there too with no luck. Today the factory muffler went back on but I kept the dump tip. Sounds completely stock. It’s up for sale if anyone wants it.

Now that I’m looking at it the muffler looks smaller that what Casey advertised. Even though it’s his 3.0 version which has the bigger hemoltz. All the mufflers in his videos seemed bigger. I do have to say the turbos sound is awesome with this exhaust and popping noise I got when coming to a stop was pretty cool.

They come with 3M around the edges and clips in the center. On the TRD Pro, the hood has the holes drilled for the clips to go through. I'm too impatient, and quite frankly scared, to drill holes in my hood! I'm just relying on the 3M, so I made sure the surface was super clean using alcohol, and got good pressure all the way around. Not a bad idea to set some weight on them overnight.

Were yours warped at all? I bought mine and it’s slightly crooked when setting it on the hood

I wouldn't say they were warped, but it took a little more pressure to keep the front inner corners down. I've noticed over the past several hot Kansas days, they have settled a bit tighter, so I'm hoping they don't fly off on the highway! Untested thus far...

I doubled down on my taping (they are still sitting in my office), and I couldnt get past the warped portions.

Youre right tho, the sun would help.

In terms of the 3M tape, i had a carbon lip spoiler on my GTI that held on at 160mph. That stuff is legit, i think it will be just fine.

The auto off of the engine debate confuses me a bit, yes my truck does this but only and only if I press hard on the brake pedal. If I dont mash it the engine stays running, all the time. Like there is a detent somewhere while pressing on the brake pedal. I can pretty much drive all day and never have the engine shut off, of course Im pretty easy on the brakes anyway.

Yeah, it doesn't bug me either. If I do happen to step on the brake enough for it to shut off, I just let off the brake a little and it's right back on. Different things bother different people though I guess.

Added Pro fender flares. Love them. Waiting on the Rave harness to show up to wire the lights up. Definitely going to be adding the rest of the camo parts over time.

It's not about the driving, it's the parking. I HATE that it shut off and started back up instantly every time I parked. It was so bad that I still expect it when I shift into park.

Happy user of an Amazon eliminator module

I'm gonna be honest. I've never noticed this when parking. Maybe I'm just oblivious to it.

yup, i was pretty good about not stepping on the brakes and engaging the auto stop, but the damn stop/start when parking really annoyed me. so I also installed the auto button presser.

I got them from mvpautosupplies.com back in March of 2024. It doesn’t look like they offer that style any more but there are plenty of vendors on the internet that have lots to choose from. They’re plug and play and take about 30 seconds to install.
