So, it might not be the best decision I’ve made, but it’s going in kydex. Interesting to me that out there in the knife world, this design is marketed as a kitchen/culinary knife. When you hold and handle it, the knife feels very much like a fighter or a camp knife. Another factor for me is that I’m behind on my leather sheaths by about 4 knives.
I definitely agree with you both. I wish you could see and feel the stabilized piece of cherry wood on the knife, in person. Pictures don’t do it justice.

I’m getting further behind on my sheath making…IMG_2686.jpg IMG_2687.jpg IMG_2688.jpg
This little Bowie has a core for the cutting edge of Aogami Super Blue #1 and a layer on each side of pure nickel separating it from the outer layer of 210 layer Damascus. The scales are pin oak from Arizona that is stabilized and has a touch of green dye.

Seems like the PNW has more knife makers than coffee shops! It’s always nice to see knife makers doing really “made in the USA” stuff.
I can’t find the out the steel they use. Do you have any information?

Completed the sheath for this. IMG_2691.jpg IMG_2692.jpg my plan is to keep this one for myself. I will be putting it to work today and tomorrow on some butchering
