headlight bulb location problem

Anyone experience a problem replacing headlight bulbs on 2014-2021 Tundras?
I drive and maintain a 2014 Tundra. The only way I see to replace the headlight bulbs is to remove the grill, bumper cover and lens so to allow access to the bulbs. Is there a way to replace these bulbs without removing these body parts? And does anyone know of an aftermarket lens assembly with an accessible bulb location different than the oe if there is no other way? Why did Toyota change the headlight/hood/grill assembly in 2014? Had it not changed It would be simpler!
I would graciously appreciate any advice.

No other option but to remove the grill, bumper cover, and lens because there is a protective rubber boot that has to be removed to access the retaining clip that holds the bulb in place. Haven't looked at aftermarket headlight assemblies, don't really see the point of that.

Actually, the manual says to change headlight bulbs from the fender well, but we know that it is nearly impossible.





I do agree that the best way is simply to remove the grille.
It only takes 10 minutes after doing it a few times.

If you need to replace one headlight, parking light, or turn signal bulb, you might as well replace both sides while you have it apart.
Turn signal/DRL bulbs can be replaced without removing the grille, although you might need to remove the wiper reservoir screws for more room.

You might look into the 2018+ OEM LED headlight upgrade with an @iHacker harness if that would interest you.
I did it and replaced the parking and turn signal with LED bulbs, which usually last much longer than halogen bulbs.

Not only do the OEM LED headlights provide better light, they also look much nicer than the halogen housings.

Absolutely correct. When I replaced my headlight bulbs I tried using the directions in the manual. After several F bombs and some colorful commentary about the authors of the manual, I went to YouTube and ended up removing the grill and panels instead. Yes, it's a bit more time consuming, but also a hell of a lot easier. Bonus, I was able to do some cosmetic cleaning that needed to be done.
