If you just take it off but leave the motor and all, is there anything that can be seen or anything?

You can take the plastic spoiler off and leave the motor in connected. It'll function like it thinks its there.
For me though, I just unplugged the connector from the spoilers motor and that was it. No error and no active spoiler.

I've got a '25 SR5, I'm gonna unplug mine tomorrow, if I get no codes over the next day or so I guess I'll go ahead and remove it all. I'll update.

Do you currently have a code?

When its tucked up (stopped) it should be default position.

    None at this point.
    This is another...Why for me.
What are the benefits of having a spoiler at all?
It's not like you're gonna be racing at Talladega.

It’s a scam. Mfg’s jump through hoops to meet epa mpg standards, only to deliver a vehicle that can’t actually achieve the epa rating.

Sorry, it took me a bit to actually try it. So I unplugged mine and started the truck and I immediately got an error message, I didn't even put the truck in drive. I plugged it back in and restarted and the message was gone. Guess I am going to just remove the spoiler and leave the motor. 2025 SR5
