Same. Getting gears and lsd installed this week. Probably going to be an extra 4 days because of parts issues. It’s bound to happen with modifying vehicles with aftermarket parts from numerous vendors.

 

@reywcms I was thinking about going to talk with someone at Phoenix Engines so looked up the directions, its 11 miles from my house but the street view has another business at 4012 N. 39th AVE.

 

Call me crazy, but does that sign say 29 Ave??

Call them and see what they say. Looks like they're close, but it's not surprising they are either also (or at least closely affiliated with) a machine shop.

Looks like they should be next to Deluxe.

@snivilous has begun the tear down. I’ll be packing up the first pallet of parts for pickup Monday.

That's my plan too, cab off to swap the engine, plus Rey wants the whole frame reinforced so that makes two tasks easier with the body totally off

 

I was just going to ask if @reywcms was going to box some of the rear frame. Cool deal to get it all around!

 

Yessir, along with lacing the rear, front frame plating and reinforcing. Shock towers tie ins etc similar to the pic but no cubby storage on mine

 

@reywcms did you notice any changes when you installed the Slew House billet carrier? I'll be needing to change my carrier soon and was looking at that option. The billet carrier, solid trans mount and engine mounts. Just trying to get an idea if it'll be too much if there can be such a thing.

Yep....

 

Bought an ECU off of eBay and cut it up for the mount. The Boomslang harness connector will sandwich between two pieces of aluminum that will fit behind the plate that has 4 screws securing it to the mount. I need to cut off a little more from the backside since it flares in. I will probably need to cut it flush with the outer flange since the connector is still too large to pass through, but coming along nicely.

 

I'm really looking forward to working on the Sequoia this summer....
