Today i was driving to dentist a d fuel gauge showed low on E-the light was on. I didnt think it was low. I put 10 gallons of fuel in.
What do you think would be the cause and how to fix? A week ago i had new struts and shocks put on it .
The gruck has 170000 miles on it. I bought it new. Thanks. The gauge still shows on E and light is on

Full tank and drop a can of seafoam in there. Should ungunk the level on the sending unit. Mine would stop at a 1/4 tank and it dropped me off a few times in the most uncomfortable places. After a few full tanks it should work again.

I put a can of seafoam in the tank and it still shows its on e and low fuel light is still on
I replaced the 5 amp fuse in fuse box under hood and still on e and low fuel gauge light is on. Is there a way to visually look underneath by the tank and look for something specifically from a sending unit wiring perspective. Thanks. If i need to replace sending unit where would i buy one for a 2011 tundra ?

For the sending unit wiring you're gonna have to drop the tank and pull the pump. You may be able to tug on wiring from the pump, but the sending unit is just a floater, it may be sruck due to gunk in there.
Honestly 1 can of seafoam isn't going to do it. I think I dropped like 10 before this badboy started moving. I did the math and wouldn't go past 250 miles between fill ups. It may have worked well before, I just didn't let it go that far, but you will notice immediately when it's good, since the needle will move.
The pump and sender unit should be replaced as a single unit, but can be purchased separately. I bought mine at Toyota and its just sitting in a box somewhere in my garage.

How is your battery voltage? I’ve had inop fuel sender on my 4R (2011) due to a low battery that still started fine. New battery solved the issue.
