I just bought a 2018 Platinum, no issues. I hope not but then I'll be tinting the windows shortly so that should help.

Did any of you use windex on their windows while cleaning? Just trying to figure out if this was the case, windex being absorbed into the 'leather' and causing it to decompose back on my camry eons ago.

Nope the only things I've used is Rain-X 5071268 2-in-1 Glass Cleaner and Rain Repellant

You know that rain x and glass cleaners like invisible glass have hydro carbons and silicone in them. That stuff is not good on leather. Could have been from that rain x. Slowly breaking down the top layer coating off the treated leather.

Damn... RIP I needa be careful then, I typically spray the microfiber before I wipe but I could assume some of it got on the leather ‍ thanks for pointing that out!

I use both of those type of glass cleaners. I spray on to a towel outside the car, then go in and wipe the windows. To avoid getting it on the interior.

The rain x bottle in the picture even says flammable on the bottle.

I use leatherique for all the leather and upholstery vinyl. Took me 20 years to find out about leatherique. I buy it from leatherique themselves. $200 = 1 gallon of the rejuvinator and 1 gallon of prestine clean. Yeah it's called prestine, not pristine.

Lasts me for years. Doesn't go bad

You think it would fix the leather that's already deteriorating?
