I just picked up a used ARE MX for my DC that doesn't have tracks from the factory. I want to add a platform rack to carry my hang glider. My wing is around 17 feet when bagged so I'll need something fairly long. I'm not sure on if/how I can mount the platform. I found this pic over on TW (@Ainapo), which should work on my cap. But I don't like that I'd have to drill into the sides 1. for structural reasons, and 2. potential resale value reasons. I'd use three false gutter mounts per side, and probably an 83" x 56" platform, which would overhang the cab a little. Can tracks be added to the top of the cap to avoid having to drill into the sides? I'm going to Suburban Toppers next week for a few other things, and will ask their opinion, but thought I'd throw the idea here too.
