Hi. I have a tundra with JBL system which includes the JBL amp. If i buy a aftermarket amp with high level input option do i still need a device like the DSR1 before the aftermarket amp to eliminate my oem JBL amp? Or can i plug the input signal at my oem JBL amp into the aftermarket amp without needing a DSR1?

The OEM JBL amp controls other things to include fade, etc. You'll lose some of those controls if you bypass the OEM JBL amp. James at https://tech12volts.com/shop offers a plug and play harness and DSP JBL amp. The DSP JBL amp takes high level input from your existing OEM JBL amp, uses a built in software based EQ and crossover that James and team tune specifically for Tundras and then sends the output to your existing speakers. I went this route and was extremely satisfied with the results. I also upgraded the subwoofer.
