My front emblem is really sun-faded and looks terrible. What are my options for replacement, keeping in mind I have TSS and want to maintain the radar cruise functionality? Are there aftermarket options? I don't think I want to know what Toyota would charge me for a replacement.

Edit: my 2018 Platinum Tundra is the vehicle I'm asking this question about.

Just looked it up and Ourisman Toyota wants $318 for a new replacement. Thats ludicrous. Might I be able to use headlight restoration compound and buffer to clear up the existing emblem cover?

Use a headlight restore kit. Sand off the oxidized layer and then clear coat it.

Mine is starting to oxidized but not near as bad as yours. And that is my plan.

The emblems are too expensive and there is no longer a guarantee the emblem you will buy will fit your grille insert since there are 2 versions and you can't differenciate until you order.

Nice! I have a different version that was just the T. The link you posted would cover all the plastic after it gets cleaned up. Not a bad idea.

Love how covering the chrome in the emblem fully changed the look up.

I just refinished mine a couple of weeks ago. Someone here mentioned the Cerakote headlight refinish kit. I tried it. VERY impressive considering the price ($25) and effort. Looks almost new. You can get the kit on Amazon.

I used headlight lens restoration kit on the 200 and it worked great. Get one with a clear coat to put on after. 3M worked well.

Thank you all, very good suggestions. Definitely sounds like I'll go with a headlight restoration kit, and might slap on a cheap Etsy sticker after to spruce up the overall look of the truck a bit more

Why not just sand and buff it out, use UV headlight spray to seal it, I did that to mine.

I'll probably do that, but I like the look of some of those Etsy stickers too. I figure the sticker will prolong the life of the emblem underneath too

Anither option is to change the look up and get a Trd pro grill insert.

True. What's the ballpark cost of that though?

I have a feeling its a whole lot more than even the $318 replacement emblem, and I'm trying to be relatively cheap here to spend on other higher priorities.

That really isn't bad since it includes the sensor cover. Toyota charges another 350 for their small rectangle cover...
I've added that item to my bookmarks. Normally ive written off the Pro look due to the grille and sensor cover being over 700 and that wouldn't even include a surround in my blue.
