Replacing window glass in rear driver's side door of my 2018 SR5 extended cab. I can't figure out how to get the replacement glass panel into the door cavity. I've removed the interior door panel, as well as the 4 screws in the window track, to allow the window track to remove freely inside the door cavity. But I cannot figure out how to get the new panel inside the opening.

I checked youtube for videos but there are only a few of similar situations, different doors or rear window glass. There is one video of a passenger side extended cab glass replacement, but the video isn't done well. There's basically almost no helpful information or images in the video.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

For a 2012 but might not be much different. Looks like glass panel will go in from top or up position.
    Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, that is the best video on YouTube, and it's for the extra cab, not extended, with different shape and glass setup(and the video doesn't actually show the glass being put in). My rear door windows are like yours, Trooper2, smaller and a different shape than the extra cab version. The approach is different and I can't figure it out.

For anyone looking to replace the driver or passenger door window for a double cab, here you go. I needed to replace mine, since the bottom track that comes attached to the window itself fell off.

Instructions: if window still intact, secure it with tape to the door frame.

Remove the rear most track by undoing the 4 10mm bolts, then move the track to the left.

    Remove the window.

    Slide the new window.

Position the track into place, then lightly insert the 4 bolts.

Close window all the way, then secure the 4 track bolts.

It might help your searching to use the correct terms. Ffor 2018 Tundras there is the Double Cab and the Crew Max. There are no extended or extra cabs.

To reinstall the window you do it on the interior side of the door. 2 10mm bolts on the outer side of door hold the window track in place. (Many YouTube videos showing that part.) once you remove those two bolts I took the entire gasket and that part of the track out since I had to clean the broken glass out of it any ways. This will expose a little cutout in the door where a little square of foam is. Then you hold the glass exactly as it would be in the door. Insert the bottom of it with top tilted towards you slightly and slowly lower it down onto the pegs on the actuator where it bolts. Reinstall the window gasket and the piece of track you removed and reverse your disassembly process. Hopethis helped as I had to try 100 times almost breaking the brand new pane a few times I stopped and thought about it for about30mins before feeling like a fool cause of how easy it actually was
