Hey fellas, need some help. Some POS broke into my truck while at the rodeo so I need to replace the passenger side rear door glass on my 2018 Crewmax. I have everything off, the only thing I can’t figure out is how to slide the new glass into the door. Every angle I’m going in seems to get stuck. The glass is wider than the opening so I can’t seem to find a way to get the glass in the door. I double checked the part number to ensure I have the right glass. Anyone have any experience with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You have to put in upside down and rotate it into the track. Loosen the track by removing the bottom bolts. Once in place, reinstall track bolt. Helps to have an extra set of hands

Yeah I watched that video a few times already. It’s a good video but it doesn’t seem to work. Possibly because the glass is a different shape.

Good news: it's doable, and really not that hard. with the more square window shape.

Start by popping the door panel off, like in the video above. Carefully remove the clips and plugs, and take off the entire vapor barrier (you’ll put it back on later). You can slash through it if you want to, but I don’t recommend it.

Next, remove the two 10mm bolts that attach the window lift to the old window. Clean as much of the broken glass out of the track as you can, and vacuum the inside of the door thoroughly.

Now comes the tricky part that’s been holding most people up:
Remove the two 10mm screws from the lower window track. Fish out the metal bracket so that the rubber part dangles freely. This gives you just enough of a gap to slide the new window in. I did this from inside of the door with the glass on my side.

The window goes in almost exactly how it sits when it’s rolled up—no need to dive it in at a steep angle. Just angle it in slightly (about 5–6 degrees), back corner first. With the bracket out of the way, you can snake the back corner in and slide the window all the way into the door. Then, carefully lift it up into the channel/window track.

Once the window is fully seated, reinstall the metal bracket into the rubber from the lower window track. Press it back into place and slide it up until the top 10mm bolt lines up. Secure that, then install the bottom 10mm bolt.

From here, it’s just a matter of aligning the tabs at the bottom of the window with the tabs in the lift arm.

I’ll try to upload a video later to walk you through it visually.

To reinstall the window you do it on the interior side of the door. 2 10mm bolts on the outer side of door hold the window track in place. (Many YouTube videos showing that part.) once you remove those two bolts I took the entire gasket and that part of the track out since I had to clean the broken glass out of it any ways. This will expose a little cutout in the door where a little square of foam is. Then you hold the glass exactly as it would be in the door. Insert the bottom of it with top tilted towards you slightly and slowly lower it down onto the pegs on the actuator where it bolts. Reinstall the window gasket and the piece of track you removed and reverse your disassembly process. Hope this helped as I had to try 100 times almost breaking the brand new pane a few times I stopped and thought about it for about 30mins before feeling like a fool cause of how easy it actually was
