I have a 2017 tundra SR5 4.6 L. Recently, I’ve noticed that when the truck is idling or driving at a slow speed, AC compressor clutch would disengage intermittently; it would go through the on and off cycles. Sometimes during these on and off cycles, refrigerant is sprayed out of the compressor; I can hear the hissing sound, see the spray and smell the refrigerant. The following is the video that captures the symptoms: https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/LjEueoBJS8SorpeNGow3MQ.fuH0k9_Treq-trM2a7imuo

Every car i have owned would cycle the compressor on and off. Not sure about the spraying you talking about.

Thank you! Let me clarify: when the compressor clutch is disengaged (not spinning), I lose cool air. The refrigerant spray is shown in the short video I included in my post.

Ok yea that doesn't sound good. Mine will disengage then maybe 15 to 30 seconds later engage. I don't notice anything difference in air temp.
