I have a totally stock JBL system in my 2017 1794 and am looking to swap out the dash speakers with a pair of Kicker KSC270 2-3/4" mid/tweeters (4-ohm impedance).
Has anyone else done that? If so how did it sound?

I think I may have a blow speaker, when taking calls over bluetooth sounds like the other person is talking in a tin can.

    Thanks
    Rich

I would recommend contacting James Randy Taylor.

So many of you have asked for dash speakers for your JBL Tundra. Well we have them plug n play. JL Audio Cf275MT will work plug n play. They are 160 a pair for the dash sides and 85 for the center shipped anywhere in the US! If you want a set please email me. Tech12volt@gmail.com . 07 to 21 Tundra with JBL . And yes this will help your phone calls sound more clear and not scratchy. Do not send me a PM as I can not respond PM for some crazy reason right now. Email is Tech12volt@gmail.com and I can send you an invoice for them until I get them up on the site

James got back with me super fast. I was under the wrong impression the center speaker on the JBLs was a dual voice coil, it is not. Pulled it to double check.

I had them in mine for a bit. I wasn't a fan of how they sounded overall. Kinda muddy and tinny. I replaced them with the infinity Kappa 3" midranges. More expensive but a far better sound. If you would rather not spend the cash on the kappas, buy a set of your favorite brand 3.5" coax's and disable the tweeter. That would be more or less the same thing.

did you use the infinity kappa 303s? did they drop in or did you have to modify anything. i wound up using the kappa 203s and they fit perfect but the 303 would have been better.
I wound up using a different brand 3 but the infinitys are a very nice sounding speaker.

    Yes, I used the 303's. I bought them from here - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6CWVWYJ

Supposedly they are open box, but the sets that I have were brand new and never installed.
