Anyone running this full kit? I can’t seem to find much information in regard to users experience on the tundra. Not really familiar with the falcon shocks either. My first pick was a TRD 3” kit, but can’t find it anywhere second choice was probably fox but it’s pricy. I ran eibach coils on my last truck, and they were fine for the price, but want to do a better job of maintaining factory geometry on this truck. Ready lift’s full kit seems like a truly happy medium. But can’t find much information about anyone’s experience with the kit. Are the CVs as reliable as TRD red axles? Any input is appreciated!

For reference for others that may come across this thread interested in the lift as well, I’m going to be proceeding with this kit and record my thoughts and opinion in this thread once the kit is installed.

From what I have gathered from professionals in the off-road racing and suspension industry is that this is a heck of a lift for the money with some saying they’d actually much prefer this system over the TRD lift after installing it and becoming familiar with it. Quote “The TRD kit is overhyped 2.0 non adjustable Bilstein shocks. FALCON makes a good product, they are mainly known in the Jeep world but starting to branch out to other applications. We use their CVs on a lot of other brand kits because they hold up well and are less expensive than the TRD.”

It was clear when discussing, that bang for the buck, this kit is hard to beat.

for these reasons this is the direction I will be going. I’ll be happy to provide feedback once installation is complete. Probably won’t be for a few weeks as I’m still working on picking out my wheel setup.

While I won’t be installing the kit myself, I am familiar with aftermarket suspension systems, and I have realistic expectations per money spent on a kit. I hope to track my build progress as best as I can. With there not being much info or feedback out for this kit from the community, I feel it would benefit a lot of people interested in purchasing this kit.

I may even continue to track the rest of my build progress in this thread as well if it generates any interest. I plan on putting a ton of work into this truck, and I think a lot of folks would be interested in seeing what I do and where this goes, because I’m trying a bunch of products that don’t have a lot of information out and available online. I’m not the tutorial guy, but I’ll share my feedback and honest opinion and do my best to document as well.

I don’t believe the factory platinum wheels (20x8 +60mm) will marry up well with the control arms. I’m Leaning towards RRW RR7’s. But considering a few other popular options. Honestly, I’d prefer 18s, so if anyone has some lightweight recommendations, I’d love to hear and see pics. But the weight of the RR7s are extremely appealing, so it’s hard to sway away. And they just look so damn clean. If only they made an 18, I’d give up a few lbs. for that..

I was at first considering 33s for articulation purposes, but I’ve been swayed to the 35s due to so much input from others that the 33s will simply look too small. And ultimately and realistically, with my build, looks really matter to me. I haven’t really done my research yet, so if anyone would like to weight in on their favorite shoes for these trucks and why, it would be appreciated. Leaning towards BFGs as I think they look great on these trucks, but second priority aside from aesthetics would again be weight and performance. They need to be reliable and tough. My line of work puts me in tricky conditions time to time, very far from home. So need a reliable tire that can support that, while also being comfortable and semi quiet on the long interstate hauls. Also I do probably 2.5-5k annual miles towing, but not too crazy. No more than maybe 5-6k max lbs with a good hitch.

As I proceed I’ll also share my true cost from start to finish as I know a lot of people interested in this thread would also probably like to know these figures as well.

I’ll post some before pics of the truck in a following post for viewer reference.

Here are some photos of the truck. 2025 wind chill pearl platinum 4x4. I believe it has all available options except hybrid motor, factory TRD upgrades, or rear airbags.

Lift is ordered and I’m going with the 17x8.5 RRW RR7 in Matte black +0 offset. Tires are not selected yet, but I’m leaning towards 35x12.5r20 ridge grapplers. They’re not the best on a spec sheet, but they sure are sexy. Expecting them to cost approximately $425 per tire plus m/b, sensors, and fees. Lift is scheduled to go on in 2.5 weeks, so I got a little time before I have to pull the trigger. Wheels should be here next week, and I may go ahead and get them mounted up to see how the fitment is before the lift. Also, because I’m impatient and excited. Shared below are the invoices for wheels and lift in case anyone is curious. IMG_0562.jpg IMG_0565.jpg

Interested in hearing how things work out. I wanted to go with the Falcons on my 2016 back in the day but they were not available. Ended up doing the Eibach kit and it was pretty good, just always wondered about the Falcon stuff. Keep us updated.

I have a similar truck - 24 WCP Platinum Hybrid - and I went with the Rough Country 2" front leveling struts... but if this goes well for you I might upgrade to the Falcon kit.

I had eibach’s kit on my previous f150. They’re pretty solid. Loved them at first, but I feel like they really softened up after a while. Still a great kit I’d buy again, but I think this kit will be an upgrade, and I like the idea of being able to easily adjust the rear stiffness.

Yeah I was all set on the Falcons due to the rear adjustability and positive reviews but didn't have time to install them until the fall and when I went to pull the trigger I couldn't find them anywhere. Eibach was nice though, perfectly fine for what I need and should be even better with the 2R kit now.

One question about this kit though, I have a TRD OR and not sure if the CV's that come with it are necessary?

my understanding is that if you have the red axles, you’re good. If you don’t, it would be wise to upgrade. My truck doesn’t have any TRD upgrades, so I know I need the beefier ones from readylift for the lift’s geometry. I’ve heard really good things about them though, so if I were picking between the red TRD or readylift’s, I’d probably just take the one that’s cheaper tbh.

Well everything goes on Monday. Excited is an understatement.

wheels and tires look incredible together imo. Nitro RG sidewall is just hard to beat. Wheels look great, but the centercaps are kinda meh. I’ll include more details once I have everything installed.

Everything is installed. Photos below. I have a 600 mile round trip today and tomorrow, so I’m going to run that and then go back by the shop to tighten everything up when I get back at the end of the week.

Initial impressions are pretty good. There’s a small squeak that seems to be common online with falcons. I’m not concerned about it as long as it works itself out in the first few hundred miles. Truck sits higher than I expected. I haven’t measured, but this 3” kit definitely sits higher than your standard level kit. I would have guessed this was a 4-5” lift if I saw it drive by. Offset is perfect for my liking at +0. Maybe a bit much for some, but I like the aggressive look. Too soon to speak for ride quality. I hope to have an in depth impressions write up upon return from my trip with the truck this week.

Thanks for the update, keep us posted after the trip. That looks higher than I would want to go.

That thing is looking beastly! Very nice, looks like a completely different truck. Looking forward to hearing how the road trip goes. Enjoy!

Been busy as hell since I got the truck done, but I’ve managed to put around 2,000 miles on the kit so far—and I’m beyond happy with it. The truck gets a ton of compliments everywhere I go. I may be a little biased, but it’s one of the best-looking Tundras I’ve seen.

I mentioned it previously, but to reiterate: it definitely sits higher than one may expect for a 3” kit. If I saw it rolling by, I’d guess it was a 4”. Not a complaint, just something future buyers might want to know. I’ll take a side by side shot next to my buddies TRD pro on 35s next time I see him to show the difference in size.

Running 17s with 35s and a +0 offset. In my opinion, it’s the perfect combo for these trucks. Just the right amount of poke—aggressive but not over the top. I do have a slight rub on the fender liners at full lock, but I think I can trim a little more to fix that. Tore sensors from discount tire are not reading correctly, or at all for that matter. Haven’t had a chance to speak with them about this yet. Not really a big deal, but worth mentioning since I went with aftermarket TPMS and have not been able to get them to work. RRW wheels are beautiful, but I wish the center caps were higher quality. Gotta buy the nice ones and rings separately.

I had some creaking and squeaking in the front end for the first ~100 miles. My shop called ReadyLIFT and they said if it didn’t settle, they’d ship out replacement parts no problem. That level of customer service really stuck with me. Shows they believe in their product and are willing to stand behind it. But it is gone, and I have no complains.

I’ve got the rear adjustable shocks set to 1 (softest setting), and I really like how it rides. It’s a bit stiffer than stock, but I like this and it’s still extremely comfortable. Truck takes bumps like a champ. Setting 3 is pretty firm. I’ve done a little towing—a 16’ flat trailer—and keeping it on 1 helped a lot with the rear squat that was really noticeable on the factory setup. If I towed something heavier, I’d probably bump it to 2.

Overall, I’m impressed and happy with the outcome. For the right person, I’d say it’s worth spending a little more vs. other options out there. Unless you’re ready to shell out a ton more for a premium kit, I don’t think there’s anything on the market I’d rather be running on the truck. Speedometer is off about 2-3mph. Truck shows average around 16mpg of combined driving. Also have all the practically brand new stock parts including wheels and tires up for sale in north Georgia area if anyone is interested in anything.

    Any questions—feel free to ask!

The only reason I wouldn’t do the Falcon shocks is they have to be sent back to service. They don’t allow kits for servicing and I would have to get them taken off old ones installed while shipping these for work. That is not realistic to do at all.

Falcons were released for the previous gen back in 2019. They never did gain much popularity as they’re common issues across the board kept many buyers away from them. That main issue being cold weather. The falcons do not fare well in colder climates and have major leaking issues. And being only Falcon can service them, it just turned away a lot of people to go with something else. Even a couple vendors who were offering Falcons did not recommend them if your truck sees cold weather. Just something to keep in mind.

I considered this too. But it’s a challenge I’ll face when that time comes. And to my understanding and in all fairness, this is a roadblock with many of the manufacturers, and not really just specific to falcon. Ultimately, I’m thinking I’ll probably buy new ones and send these back for service. Then, swap them again when the time comes again. Little to no downtime, and leaves me with a backup set in case there is ever a failure.

I did come across some of the colder weather issues online, but I wasn’t too concerned being from the south. And the others with experience with similar kits from falcon that I’d spoken to (not tundra owners) also praised the kits value. Some of them are pretty hardcore offroad enthusiasts, and I trust their opinions hold value. If I do encounter issues, I’ll come back and document, but to be clear, I have no affiliation or incentive from the manufacturer. Just an average truck enthusiast who’s happy with his decision (so far)
