    Hello,

After working on my car a bunch, I came to a point where the exterior looks really nice (new rear bumper, and fender flares, polishing...), and the car drives perfectly now.

So I'm starting to find new ways to improve it.
In this case, I'm trying to have (or reactivate) the keyless entry on my car.

It's a 2006 sequoia SR5, and I know that AT SOME POINT OF ITS LIFE, this car had keyless entry (here is an add I've found with my VIN, of my car sold by a dealership https://samsdiscountautos.net/vehicles/821149, you can even see the keyfob hanging on a picture, and it's listed in the description).

The thing is : I only have 1 key now (+the emergency unlock key) and no keyfob to open it from outside.

What can I check to know if the keyless entry module is still present ? And should I go to a dealership to get a new key + keyfob and a programmation?

I have tried to make it enter programmation mode, but the car just doesn't want to (all my actuators are working great, all doors opens and closes fines).

    Thank you for your help,
    Clément

@clementl47 if you are still around, if you go by a dealer to deal with immobilizer key, ask them to give you printout via your VIN.

The attached pdf is what comes back at the Toyota Owners site as the Vehicle Specs for that VIN. One thing I noted was the Selling Dealer.....Toyota Of Dallas. That's semi important because that is considered GST(Gulf States Toyota), which means they possibly used a Port installed Securikey type system and KE1 code would show up on the Veh Spec the Dealer prints out.

If instead you wish to search for the receiver box, the Port installed Securikey control box(MPX Keyless Entry Control Module....00016 - 0C050-01) should be behind the drivers kick panel.

If the Dealer Spec sheet mentions Anti-Theft Sys w/Remote Keyless Entry, that Factory installed receiver would be located behind center console about floor level.

With that information, we can then work on proper remote and instructions.

    Hello,

I'm sorry for the late answer

I have already found the mpx receiver, which is this one :
    PXL_20250507_222340784.jpg

Now the issue is : I can't the car to go into programming mode no matter which process I make, I have checked all the actuators and they all work good, recently changed the trunk and the rear passenger one (was working, but weak).
None is weak now, and I still can't understand why it doesn't go into programming mode...

On a note, it's weird because my vehicle doesn't completely match the description:

I have leather seats + JBL package, and also tow package + 17" wheels and not 16

If the RS3200 does not work, have you tried the procedure contained in the install instructions for MPX box 00012-0C051 ?

Also, I don't know if I'm supposed to have a noise from the piezzo, but I don't :(

Hmmm….appears you have other issues IMHO, because that’s the instructions Toyota Tech would use when finishing install.

and yes, which ever one finally works for you, there will beeping from piezo while programming.

In my case, as mentioned on the initial post, I don't have a transmitter to perform any check, because I can't actually get the car to go into programming mode ahah

I don't know what the previous owner did with it

My bad, I assumed after a month you would of gotten a remote given I alluded to it in my first post.

No issue ahah, I have tried 3 different programming instructions, checked all actuators and I'm still stuck, but my cheap side don't want to bring the car to the dealership to perform a computer programming

Edit : I do have remotes, I just can't pair them yet

Basically my issue is this :
    - car had remote control at some point, remote control module still installed
    - checked and changed actuators that were bad
    - tried several programming method, none works

And I'm too dumb to understand why apparently ahah

Is it possible you need a/the transmitter for the vehicle to go into programming mode?

I can't program my Compustar remote start/alarm without a keyfob..

Kind of funny you should ask, given the first step in above instructions....A Press and release the lock button on one of the transmitters. If I'm not mistaken, any other instructions call for same or similar.

You need a key fob to program a key fob.
The videos I posted are not about 'checking' your key fob programming, they are INSTRUCTIONS on how to PROGRAM a given key fob to your specific vehicle.

I suppose I don't understand the purpose of this thread or what you're trying to achieve.
You found the module and now you want to program key fobs for your vehicle.
I don't know what other PROGRAMMING PROCESSES you are referring to, and at this point, I don't care..

I'm out, good luck to you..

I think there has been a misunderstanding, I'm not a native speaker as my name gives it out

When I said "you don't need a keyfob to be working at first" I meant : you don't need to already have one working keyfob in order to program a new one

Now what I actually said, is : I have tried all these processes to make the car go into programming mode, but it doesn't work and the car doesn't react.

I do have unprogrammed keyfob with me...
