Polo shirt and jeans for me unless I'm in turnaround, in which case it's a plain tee and old jeans and right into my coveralls as soon as I get to work.

I've always shaved, even when I didn't have to but I don't necessarily understand the requirement to be clean shaven (or small mustache) in your industry. A clean and tidy full beard or other facial hair can be professional. In my industry (O&G) or the military, for example, there's a practical reason for the rule to be clean shaven. But if a professional driver is having to put on SCBA, we've got bigger problems.

I was thinking I could go back into the mens room, rip the tampon box off the wall and set it in front of the ladies room.

I would score points with the real women and piss off the fake women acting aghast in the mens room.

Plus, it would remind mgmt of whatever establishment I am at that if you are going to provide a service such as free tampons, to take care of the real customers having a real emergency.

It was the rules, that's all I know.
Small mustaches were allowed, they just couldn't extend past the corner of the mouth.
Then every cheese dick bad boy wannabe had to test the limits of this rule, some to be sent home for the day without pay.

Disney used to be the same way before they went off the woke deep end.
Not the best company to use as an example, but it was their policy for 60 years.

    My dress code:
Whatever tf I want. Currently in gym clothes. I will shower and then put on pajamas.
The only time I wear a polo or button down slack shirt for work is if
    A) I visit said office
    B) Video call with a client.

Just common sense. I dont wear anything offensive to people in the work environment. My mouth is offensive enough, lol.

Both of my younger brothers worked at Disneyland back in 80's. Super strict. No facial hair, no sideburns, reasonable short haircut and such. Paid well enough. Both were attending CS Fullerton at the time.

Thank you to whoever recommended the Orthofeet slip-on shoes.

    Tilos – Orthofeet®

They arrived yesterday and I wore them inside the house this morning.
Decided they were a keeper and walked the dogs.

The arch booster and spacers are genius.
I used the thick spacer in the right shoe and both in the left shoe.
Put the arch boosters in, but not sure if I'll keep them..

It's only been a few hours, but these are the best-fitting and most comfortable shoes I've had in some time.
I don't think they are going to need much, if any, break-in.

Many years ago, my Dad did some kind of contracting job at Disneyland.
He would travel and set up radio broadcasting stations for Collins Radio and then Alcatel..

He said he was in the lunch room having a conversation, and someone in the group mentioned they could tell he didn't work for Disney.
Surprised, he asked them how they knew that, and they responded, "because you have a beard".:eek2:

My grandson wants to go to Disneyland. SMH. My older sister lives nearby in Anaheim Hills. I can go anytime now that I'm retired. I'm not too keen on Disney, but a ONE day experience shouldn't mess him up. Besides, I could take him to Laguna Beach to see the ocean. I could gander at the bikinis with my RayBan shades....:spy:

I wear sweat pants in public. But only to run errands or grab something from the store. Not to go out and eat in
Tampon or TP? If tampon... Let her in, I would stay at the door holding it open, let her get it and walk out and then you walk out. Safety for her, safety for you, safety for anyone else currently in the rr. If TP...
Grab her some and give it to her.
Though I don't like all dress codes for work, I believe they are there for a reason. I would much rather deal with someone who looks put together and dressed decently than someone who is the complete opposite. It makes me feel like you care about and have pride in yourself and what you do.

I always sat in on job interviews at my calibration lab. The last time, we interviewed two candidates on the same day. One in the morning and one after lunch. First candidate was well qualified. Military trained. A plus. Wore camo shorts, a tee shirt, and Croc's. The second candidate was well qualified too. Military trained. A plus. Wore a suit. Didn't have to. Guess who we hired?

Yep. We were very casual actually. The lab had restricted access. If a customer showed up for a dog and pony show, we'd throw on our lab coats. You need to dress properly for the SPECIFIC job interview. First impression is keen. Ha!

At my current job I actually got laughed at for dressing too nice believe it or not. They chuckled and said, "You're interviewing to work in a factory, no need to be so dressed up."

Back in 2004, we had a newly hired calibration tech arrive to our lab. Was hired with a phone interview. Resume was great. I was standing outside the lab when he drove up. Drove all the way from Houston to Aurora. Hit a deer in Oklahoma earlier that night. Destroyed windshield, wiped out grille with deer fur and blood still on it. Dedicated new employee!

Tell me about it. My problem is my wife always wants my services to be good and fast paced. And now that I think about it I do feel a little cheap sometimes. :anonymous:

Dentist appointment today, first cleaning after surgery back in Feb. Went well, but I am ashamed to admit, my dental hygienist was kinda cute, yet I was unable to find a moment to get a pic. I should probably give myself a short ban for such failure.

Anyways, then came home and helped the wife make a new water thingy for the back yard. She did most of it, I was just in charge of things that involved power tools, like drilling the hole in the ceramic pot for the water tube.

Whelp, the Corolla got a wash, de-iron, wet clay bar and a final rubdown of some stuff to remove any remaining wax. It’s now sitting in my garage waiting for two days of waxing and pampering.
