    Hi All,

Long time lurker and truck owner. This year I decided to do something a bit different. I have a '24 1794 Hybrid 4WD. I've never sprung for a lift or purchasing larger tires, etc. I snagged a set of these Eibachs as mentioned in title(nothing changed, just out of the box setup), paired with 18" Fuel Rebel and 35x12.50 Toyo AT3. I also grabbed JBA UCAs. A local installer did the work for me. Upon picking up the truck, I noticed quite a bit of steering wheel feedback and just a horrible ride at highway speeds. The guys who did the alignment specced it to a TRD 3" lift. I did question this and he said it was normal to do so. I was well aware this shop didn't have a road force balancer, so I took it to a shop that did.
This helped slightly and they recommended grabbing hub rings and extended lugs, which made it much more tolerable on the highway. I still occasionally have side to side wheel shaking (very slight) but also I just feel every single thing on the road and quite a bit of steering wheel vibration. The original installer was less than helpful so I found another shop who agreed to see me next week. It's obviously not cheap after all of this so I wanted to reach out to anyone who may have a similar setup on the 3rd gen and see what your ride is like and any tips I can ensure I'm going through with this shop. I'm open to any and all feedback as this is frustrating. Thanks in advance!

I’ve got the pro 2r and jba uca on my limited OR with 285/75r18 KO3s. The ride will definitely be a little stiffer than stock and you’ll feel the road imperfections alot more because of the heavier/stiffer e rated tire. Also the alignment might be the issue, not sure about the factory TRD lift but the jba uca is a high caster control arm so I think that you may want to check to why he used a different spec instead of just doing it the normal way.

I stay away from E rated tires for this reason. I have the same setup but with c rated Falken AT4s and it's very comfortable. Those heavier ply tires are pretty heavy too. The slightest balancing issue feels magnified. At least that's the way it felt when I bought some for my FJ. Took forever to wear them out too. Got over 60,000 hard miles on e rated KO2s.

Thanks guys, really appreciate this feedback. I'll have the shop certainly take another look at balance and alignment. These Toyo's are D rated so still likely contributing to that experience. Worst case I could do that too and switch to a C. Did you guys just use the Eibach's OOB setup? Thank you again for the quick replies and information!

IMG_6471.jpg I think we did 2 full turns on mine, so maybe 2.4” on front total. Still has a little rake which is what I wanted.

Left mine at 2.5" as it came. I'm guesstimating that with my 180lb bumper, I'm probably sitting at more like 2".

From personal experience on a lot of cars/trucks, balance on your tires can account for a lot of feedback/shake/shimmy.

Finding 35" tires in c rating isn't fun, most are thicker ply. Really liking these Falkens though.

Thank you both for this. Really helps a ton to speak with folks in a similar build. Both trucks look great, by the way. Maybe the falkens in a c are worth investigating after the shop takes a look at everything. What tire size are those falkens @Spammusubiboy619? They fill out nicely too.

Glad to help! Mine are 35X11.5R17LT. Completely within the wheel well on my 17x8.5 +20mm rims.
