I honestly wish I knew about the Valvomax oil drain system when it was first released. But honestly I'm just thankful that I'm learning about it. I was always curious about how to make the oil change process cleaner, but with my brain, I always forgot to look into it until it got posted here. Also the kit itself is very affordable, so I'm loving that part.

OP, are you deliberately not answering questions people who are trying to help you are asking? Because I'm done.

My records. Mind you, this includes the paperwork when I bought it (only a few pages of that cos it was a cash purchase), plus receipts for accessories. Even kept the paper tag it got when purchased. I keep everything, even the mailer for the registration tag, stuff bought at Autozone, receipt for the bolts to fix the 2WD transmission clunk. Subaru folder is a fair bit fatter.

So neat and tidy. I’ve got a stack of receipts for everything I’ve done held together with dried up rubber bands stuffed into shoe boxes. :(

I thought the same thing! Super neat and tidy. Most of my paperwork was folded up and shoved in my pocket before it made it to the folder. Those that weren't probably have oily finger marks!

I'm putting all my receipts into my biz expense notebook. I still log everything in an expense logbook for the accountant.

I find just writing down the mileage, date, and thing done is all a new buyer needs to see. I showed it once to a guy who replied, "SOLD." He saw the logbook of (mainly) oil changes and he didn't even test drive it. "Here's the money" he said.

To be transparent, I do my own work at my shop and then print off the "customer copy" of the repair order once completed. If I didn't have access to a shop or a DMS, my file would certainly look a lot different.

My new motto----> don't over think it, but think about it!

    That applies to this thread
Put the spec'd amount in & drive it...
I never checked my oil dipstick for 395k miles on my 2013 taco
    & 130k miles on my 22 tundra

If one drains the diff or trany then they are the dipstick, lol

Dipsticks are stupid old tech....you'd think a more precise method would be implemented in these times

Everything on my 25-year-old truck is stupid old tech. That's why I love it. No computer to rely on (except the ECM, of course)
