TRD Racing Stripes color question red vs blue

I was looking up information on the heritage toyota racing strips. Common color scheme is the red/orange/yellow which come from the teams around the 70's/80's. during my search I also found the blue/light blue/white color scheme but couldn't find much information about it. anyone know when/where that scheme was used?

I've seen both, as well as a grayscale version.

 

Yes, all sorts of tri-color variations exist, I'm just saying the Red/Orange/Yellow is the only official one as far as Toyota is concerned.

i figured the red/orange/yellow was the official as that is what all the cars ran back in the day. i did find a couple of picture with old land cruisers running the blue scheme but don't think it was ever a "team" color. thanks for all the info!
