Sadly I left the world of Tundra a year or two ago, but I did greatly enjoy mine when I had it. I spent a good bit of time installing my system in said Tundra, a 2019 Crewcab, which I posted a bit about on here in this thread:https://www.tundras.com/threads/201...3-way-jl-vxi-hd-amps-and-jl-stealthbox.72428/

I moved to a Lexus RX350 and had no sail panel option to work with for tweeter mounting. Ended up deciding to mount the 2.5" midrange and the tweeter in the dash, which also saved me from having to run another speaker wire into the door. My solution was to modify the factor grille and it worked but was bootleg and had the tweeter mounted real close to the windshield.

Finally got tired of that and and contacted Matt Kim at Audio In Reach. I knew of the quality of his work having heard a previous car he owned, and seeing a lot of work he'd done while working with Apicella Autosound doing custom installs, mostly on super high end cars. I recommend looking around the Facebook page for Audio in Reach. He posts some videos about the process and pics of some beautiful finished products. I believe he has scans for current and previous gen Tundras, and has a few options already up on the facebook page for Tacomas.

What I had him do is a custom dash pod to mount a 1" Audiofrog GB10oe tweeter and Audiofrog GB25 2.5" midrange in my factory 3" mid location. I was having him tune my system as well so I dropped my car off to him, but from what I understand he can do everything remotely now and send you a completed product. He does a 3D scan of the car interior and any relevant parts, and uses 3D printing and a good bit of hand work to make custom pods or pillars or whatever else you can think of.

He vinyl wrapped mine and it looks like it came with the car. He explained to me what went into the placement of each speaker and the angle he mounted them at and why, but I honestly don't remember. I do know the end result is some absolutely incredible sound. Nothing in the car was cut or modified. The pod uses the factory mounting points and pops right out the same as the factory grill.

I’ve seen Matt’s work before, curious how much did these set you back?

$1,000. He has some prices for Tacoma options listed on his website as well.
