Battery dieted from being left on in Accessory power. Co-worker tries to give me a jump (no dice) proceeds to bring a spare battery from shop and not thinking hooks it up even though terminals are reversed… Boom! Replaced Battery. Could start car (with emergency key position, but couldn’t move car out of park without using the emergency release). Car would move but no acceleration. Pretty much lost everything.. radio, windows, cab lights, alarm, key fob, power seats, AC.
Replaced the fuesable block assembly. Got Shifter back, cab lights, power seats windows, and AC.
Dash still lighting up like Christmas Tree

Damn... this may be deeper than your basic relay... so many computers and modules you may need to get everything tested. Hindsight is 20/20 but next time double check work, even if its a Triple A tow truck driver. As the same thing almost happened to me long ago.

I thought if the terminals got reversed it would blow one of the main fuses or something?

Definitely need to check the main fuses. Hopefully they did there job and popped before major electrical damage occurred.

I made that mistake myself on my blazer recently and let the smoke out of the wire from the alternator and main junction block. Popped several fuses. Shit happens.

Check the fuses and also have someone clear the codes. These trucks do weird stuff I’ve learned when certain codes get thrown. Example is mine threw some o2 codes and it made the truck run really rough and vibrated really bad. Cleared the codes and back to smooth as a sewing machine.

That’s correct. Usually it will blow the main fuse. If that doesn’t happen you can get all kinds of fun stuff, as evidenced by the cornucopia of errors demonstrated here.

I would manually check all the fuses. Then I would reset the modules and see what errors come back and go hunting from there.
