I bought my 2010 Tundra a few weeks ago and didn't know how bad the bed rust was until I heard crunching while walking around in the bed the other day. Decided to start trying to fix that yesterday...what a pain in the ass. The previous owner had installed a spray on liner and it was was nearly 3/8in thick in places. I used a grinder and oscillator to cut the outlines and then used a chisel and a dead blow hammer to peel up the liner because it did WAY better than my oscillating tool. The bed bolts had to be PB blasted + torched to get them out. Only 1 stripped and had to weld the end of an 8mm allen wrench to the bolt to get it out with a 24 in breaker bar + a 24 inch steel pipe on the end of it. My 1200 ft lb impact wrench stood chance.

Pulled the bed off to coat the surface rust spots with Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer, and then coated the entire bottom with Rust-Oleum Rubberized Undercoating spray. I did the truck frame too while the bed was off, but it wasn't at all damaged, just surface rust spots.

Luckily the corner of the bed right behind the driver side wasn't rusted through so I only had 3 spots to cut out. Started welding new 16 gauge steel patches in and discovered that I really hate welding, though its probably my 16 year old shitty harbor freight gasless welder if I'm being honest. It's not complete yet, but it's at least getting here.
