My used '18 from CarMax came with a locking gas cap. Not knowing I had thought that was standard on Tundras so when I started getting a CEL related to fuel I found out it wasn't so I bought the cap direct from dealer. No CEL since I swapped it out.

Also those locking caps sit a little higher then OEM so the door didn't shut all the way unless the cap sat horizontal. That would force me to over tighten(extra clicks) it which may have led to its failure.
