Asking for PIN Constantly

Evening everyone,

My truck has recently started doing this thing where it spams me with these requests to enter a PIN on the infotainment screen.

Doesn't matter if I click the little x or input what I think is the correct PIN (as I'm typing this out I'm wondering what would happen if I try a different PIN), nothing happens, nothing seems to be "enabled/disabled" because I did/didn't input the PIN. Also, either way, with or without the PIN after maybe 10 mins the message pops back up asking for the PIN again. Only thing that happens when the message pops up is the screen changes, no audio stopping or anything.

This is starting to get a little annoying and Id like it to stop but also would like to avoid having to bring the truck in. I'm all ears if there are any suggestions.

You probably just jinxed us all

 

Mine has not asked me for a PIN in nearly 18 months - just last week it asked three times, even after verifying. I'd say the Mothership has a software upgrade problem - or is looking for a way to make another nickel!

 

Change your pin in the app on your phone. Then enter the new pin on the screen. That what I did it to make it go away

 

I've gotten this PIN request 3-4 times since my 1 year app trial expired. I enter my PIN and it works again for a while...
My buddy got it constantly even WITH his phone app still active.

I think at one time I had to go to messages/notifications in the menu and clear the messages.

 

Make sure that your key fob is paired to your profile in the truck. That stops it
