Absolute pain to get it on but it’s done. Looks so much better. Fog lights and BD pods should be on this weekend

 

This sounds like almost everything I do. In my mind it'll take a few or more hours. Then reality set in and it takes double. Looks great and congrats on the install. Way to stick with it. Your truck is not really classified as budget at this point though...

 

I thought this would take an hour or so at most ended up being around 4. If I didn’t have an extra set of hands I don’t think it would’ve gone on.

 

Traction bars almost finished being made. Still deciding if I want a gusset or not and if I want to CNC something onto the bracket hope to have them on by end of the month

 

Ended up changing the exhaust. Got the Dirty deeds straight pipe and it sounds perfect. Louder than the standard but not stupid loud in the cab

 

Also picked up some FOA 2.5 triple bypass shocks. Getting them rebuilt now then gonna toss them in the rear and sell the icon 2.5. Icon leaf springs will finally go on when I put on the new rear shocks

 

New parts starting to arrive. New accutune king 2.5 extended travel coilovers. Coach builder front shock spacer, rear abs relocation, carrier bearing drop

FOA almost back from rebuild then will get the leaf springs put on. Traction bars are built and just need to be mounted then painted.

Different POV, used to drag race Mopars. Traction bars were big in the 70s given leaf spring technology at the time. These days I’d go with modern springs or 4 link with coil-overs.

 

I have different leaf springs that I need to put on that should help. Link rear end would be cool just more money than it’s worth for what I do with the truck

 

I’ve got my fogs on the bumper bolt works well.

 

Your thread and IG are where I got the idea from. They’ve held up well since I put them on in November

 

Got them out of the box. Gonna start taking apart the cloth seats I got for the electronics, get brackets on these, run seat heater wires and switches

Absolute pain in the ass to get installed but the seat heater wires are ran and work. Corbeau forgot the bolts for the passenger seat so that will go in Monday or Tuesday once those get in and I can mount the seat to the bracket. Most importantly there’s no air bag lights at all

 

Finally drove them and these are night and day better than the old katzkin seats. Lumbar support is nice and the heated seats work well

 

Also got my switch panel mounted

 

Passenger side airbags finally turned on. Had to angle grind out all the weight sensor mounts and even mount them to the original seat brackets but made it work. Gotta do some more cutting today so everything will fit under the Corbeau bracket

 

Light tabs welded and BD lights mounted and wired. Accutune king coilovers installed, seat bar removed, Icon RXT leafs installed. Accutune king rear shocks ordered

Rushing to get everything ordered and on the truck by the end of July. By August I won’t have a place to do the work myself or order parts into as I’ll be living in a dorm

 

More parts arrived. King rear shocks, new total chaos bushings and uniballs, Icon S2 secondary shock mount. Have some king 2.5 smooth body to mount for the front secondary shock.
