I ordered a set of Mirror Covers in Smoked Mesquite to replace the chrome mirror covers on my 25' 1794. (Daytona Toyota off their ebay store)

Received them both yesterday and one of them has one of the small tabs broken off (see pic). The tabs are flimsy as hell!

Does anyone know if this tab is necessary to secure the mirror cover on the vehicle? Or will it work without this tab in place?

I'm likely going to return, but just checking if anyone thinks (or has experience with these) to see if it might still work. This was going to be my 1st mod :)

IMO the only way to find out is to mount it.

Yes, it'll mount and hold. You have 5 other tabs that secure it still.

Thank you - the cover went on and seems secure enough!

The Smoked Mesquite caps look sooooooo much better.

    Thanks again!
